  • Robert Frost spoke at JFK's Inauguration
  • Frost was quoted in the classic Book the Outsiders when Pony boy quoted while hiding inside the church "Nothing Can stay gold" This was written in 1923 by Robert Frost in his New Hampshire collection.
"Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay."
 
  • Robert Frost won four Pulitzer Prizes in poetry
  •  Frost was paid $15 for his first published poem, "My Butterfly," which appeared in the New York Independent in 1894.
  • Frost and his future wife Elinor Miriam White were co-valedictorians at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts
 
  • Robert frost has the library of the school he had taught at for over 45 years, Amherst College Amherst  named in his honor
 
  • Frost received more than 40 honorary degrees during his lifetime
