While living with his grandparents he attended Lawrence High School where he me the love of his life Elinor White. Frost did attend college for a short while and but ended up moving back home to find work.
The year of 1894 is when Robert Frost published his first poem "My Butterfly: an Elegy". By 1895 Frost was married to his high school sweet heart it took him two attempts at proposal prior but it was worth the wait. Two years after marriage Robert Frost attended Harvard and his first son was born. By 1900 Elinor and Robert were expecting their second child, a girl they named Lesley. He opted out of continuing to study at Harvard due to illness and wanted to rejoin his growing family. When frost returned his family continued to grow Elinor and himself had a total of five children, two only outlived Robert. Frost pushed through the hard times in his life and actually wrote his best work.

The year of 1912 Elinor and Robert made a huge change. They decided to move from New Hampshire to England in hopes of Robert getting recognized for his poetry. This move worked for him and he did get recognition and made important life contacts that helped him publish his work. Ezra Pound and Edward Thomas were great influences to Frost and encouraged him to write for example, The Road Not Taken. Frosts success was just beginning and unfortunately World War II broke out, Elinor, Robert and their family had to head back to the United States the year of 1915. When he returned shockingly people who had once turned him down were now seeking him. He was well known in the publishing scene in America after living in England.

Frost was finally getting the recognition he deserved and decided to be an educator. Robert frost became a teacher at multiple schools. These schools included Dartmouth, University of Michigan and Amherst College.

When Robert Frost was 86 years old he got the opportunity of life time. The year of 1961 he was invited to speak at president John F. Kennedy's inauguration. This was one of his last accomplishments before he passed due his prostate state surgery and the complications that came with it. Since Robert Frost was elder, his vision was not 100%. He was unable to accurately see the words because of this and the sun glare that day. Frost amazingly recited his own poem "The Gift Outright" from memory.
