Reflection

English 102 with Professor Candia has taught me valuable skills that I will take with me throughout the rest of my college career and everyday. English has never been a strength of mine, I was always a biology driven person but expanding my knowledge and writing skills will always be extremely important to me. This semester I became a better analyzer. I have always struggled with reading poetry because I didn't understand how to break each line down or to look at the bigger picture of these poets works. Reading poems is much more enjoyable for me now and I would like to begin to read more. Before I read I would also like to learn about the authors and poets background. This semester connecting the person with their work helped me connect and understand what I was reading. Though I have struggled in the past, it has never stopped me from striving to improve my work.
