My names Dominique Norwood. I'm 18 years old and from Lindenhurst New York. I am currently attending FSC. My family means everything to me, I am the oldest of four and share a special bond with each of them. My School and work are the main focus of my life right now. All my friends decided to stay home from college so were very close and our bond hasn't changed from high school, I'm very lucky. We are always getting together, going out and catching up.
In my free time I do have my cosmetology license so I enjoy practicing that skill. I'm always dying someones hair different colors in my house, I love doing cute things on the girls and then I do my moms hair regularly. I initially became a cosmetologist to be an esthetician and focus on skin care on the side, on the weekends just so I have a back up plan. During this two year schooling I had the best experiences and met and made stronger friendships with the girls below.

My job is my second home and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've been working for a primary physicians office for a little bit over two years now. I am a secretary/assistant, I love my work environment because I am constantly learning. I become more involved in the medical field everyday. This job enlightened me to realize this is the field I want a career in. The doctors and nurses I am surrounded with inspire me everyday to work hard towards my goals. This summer I plan to get my phlebotomy license and take a CPR class. For my future I aspire to become a nurse practitioner or doctor. I love everything about the medical field. As of right now I see myself working with children. I want to strive to help, treat and care for others.
This is my youngest sister Madison. We are 11 years apart and couldn't be closer. She is my best friend and we do everything together. For only being seven years old she knows me better than anyone else. Madison is my mini me and as she looks up to me I also want to as free spirited and loving as she is. Cheerleading was a huge part of my life and her and my sister Ashley are both continuing in my foot steps. I enjoy coaching them and even though I no longer compete seeing the passion they have for cheering fills that void.
Ever since I was five years old I have had this infatuation with Dolphins and marine bio.
Fun fact, I never have eaten fish before because of this. Every two years my family and I take a trip to Florida and I get to spend time with marine life. My absolute favorite place to go is discovery cove! This is a resort where you can swim and train with the dolphins. You also get the opportunity snorkel with sting rays etc. My family is a huge Disney fan so I've also been above the Epcot aquarium also referred to the Nemo sea land. They show you all the behind the scenes of what goes on above the tanks and they let you into the tank with the dolphins as well.
